Few resorts can offer so much to every skier and boarder. Beginners have nearly the entire lower, looker’s left-hand side of the mountain. Whitefish also offers beginners backside access. Newbies can explore the Northside zone via Caribou trail, the lone green run in that area. And with Whitefish’s nominal crowds, first-time skiers can feel comfortable learning a new skill without worrying about passersby. Intermediates can access the entire mountain—the Frontside, Northside and Hellroaring Basin—providing them with nearly 1,500 acres to explore. Freestyle skiers and snowboarders have two terrain parks to choose from between Chair 3, or Tenderfoot, and Heaven’s T-Bar.
