A trip to Taos is like going to a whole new world. The town of Taos boasts some incredible Native American history and is a hotbed for native and new-age artists alike, so you can expect a lot of museums, historical attractions, dynamite Mexican food, and art galleries.

Taos ski resort is about a 45 minute drive from the town, but the whole experience is well-worth the travelling. Taos has a nice variety of terrain, but advanced and expert skiers will most enjoy skiing from the 12,481-foot Kachina Peak.
